I thought it'd be nice to hop back into Dark Souls 2 after a long break from it, and see what silly changes From made.
I expected to see a friendly face, a grandmotherly insert to warmly welcome me back to a familiar world. Instead, I was greeted by a sadistic man carrying a very large, pointy stick, and he made it all too clear I wasn't welcome here.
I don't think I've done a Dark Souls 2 review proper, and so my foray into SOTFS is perfect for that. It's a lot more challenging than I thought it would be however, and there are a few bugs that really bother me (especially starting as a deprived) but a lot of the changes they've made REALLY improve the game overall, including some really nasty tricks they pulled, like removing a very useful zipline so you have to struggle to get to a hidden bonfire, instead of it being an obvious path.
I'm loving the game however, and I really did miss a Souls game proper.
On an unrelated note, I finally have PS+ again, and I started playing Destiny multiplayer. It's as fun as I remember it being, but boy the Suros is still the god king of PVP. I love it.
