It'll be a while before I can give a fully formed opinion on Destiny

But for now, let me just say -- I LOVE THIS GAME.

I'm not going to do a "official review" on it until another few weeks have passed, to see what all they roll out with, and the game does have definite issues, but all that aside? I love this game, oh so much.

PVP is laggy and the netcode is terrible, and yet I find myself losing hours upon hours in it. I don't really care for the PVE side of things, and yet I spent 3 hours without even realizing it, farming engrams hoping for gear for my Warlock (I'm a Lv. 25 Hunter as of writing this).

The loot is rare, but once you hit Lv. 20 it gets increasingly common (just pray to RNGesus) and when you do start getting legendaries and exotics, it's an intoxicating feeling. I just got my first exotic bounty (for a pulse rifle, the Bad JuJu) and I couldn't be happier. I'm actually excited to get home from work (I'm at home right now, 30 minutes before I leave) and I'm already planning tomorrows activities.

I'll admit I was initially lukewarm on the game, but the more I play it, the more I grow addicted to it. There are serious flaws, of course -- repetitive mission design, bulletsponges in place of actual difficult bosses, the lag, of course, and the overall "grindy" feel to the game -- but when you really start getting into the meat of the game, you can overlook those things pretty easily.

I'm having a fantastic time, and I really really wish I had the next few days off so I could spend them playing Destiny.
