TRANSISTOR: SUPERGIANT HAS DONE IT AGAIN

MAGNIFICENT GAME, I don't do ratings but if I did this game would be 10/10.

I literally found no flaws or bugs with the system, and it's just an amazing game all around.

The story is deep and powerful, it's a bit subtle, but without going into spoiler territory, it explains itself and the world around it very well. You have to look for the context clues and read your unlocks carefully to fully grasp the story, but once you do, MAN, fantastic work.

Art style is fucking GORGEOUS, the game looks so pretty and the background and environments are beautiful. I'm just going to spend the majority of this post gushing about how fucking amazing this game is.

COMBAT IS PERFECT. This is exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for in my games, the turn-based or action combat system.. you "freeze time", then you can queue up a few actions at a time as you'd do in a SRPG, and then execute them in a "matrix bullet dodge" kind of time slowdown. You move super fast, but the enemies and everything else moves super slow until you finish your actions.

The difficulty was spot on, with an in-game option to limit yourself while increasing your EXP gain, if you felt it was too easy. The challenges were PERFECT, and I never felt that something was impossible or I failed a challenge because it was "cheap", it was just "I need to learn to think the way the game wants me to think".

Ability system is fucking balls-to-the-wall crazy, every ability can be one of your four active slots, as in an ability you'd use in combat, it can be a power-up to one of your active abilities, OR it can be a passive ability and give you stat boosts. There's so much depth and variety, and dying costs you one of your abilities, so you're forced to change up the way you do things, and that in itself creates more variety instead of allowing you to fall into a slump of just using the 4 abilities you're used to.

This game is just.. glorious. Music is perfection, everything, is perfect. MAN I love this game.
