Diablo 3: I don't know what they did, but I like it

So, I recently (we're talking 3-4 days, here) purchased Diablo 3 & Reaper of Souls expansion.

Pre-launch, and for a very, very long time post launch, people went on about how fucking horrible the system was, and how fucking terrible blizzard made the game. Endgame basically consisted of ridiculous levels of grinding/luck, or spending real life $$$ on their shitty auction house in order to play harder difficulties.. to farm better loot.

It was stupid as hell, and the PC version suffered GREATLY for it. Then you get the console versions, which ended up being called the "definitive" versions of the game because they had this "loot 2.0" system, which, now hold onto your hats ladies and gentleman -- IT HAD NOT-GOD-AWFUL DROP RATES!

Mind boggling, I know. A loot game with halfway decent drop rates? Being able to reasonably gear your character? HOLY FUCKING SHIT?! WHAT IS THIS SORCERY? WHAT GRAND WIZARD HAS DEVISED THIS PLAN?! 

You know though, I joke, but with how fucking loot games have been trending lately? I wouldn't be surprised if that's how they fucking felt, but I'll get to that in another post (fuck you bl2).

But yeah, they decide to stop trying to fuck over their players and actually give up the goodies at a reasonable rate, and make MUCH better gear drop, and all sorts of legitimate fun to the fucking game, instead of trying to be EA. Worked out fucking astoundingly, as people went from "FUCK DIABLO 3 ON PC IT'S A FUCKING STEAMING PILE OF SHIT THAT MURDERS BABIES AND KITTENS" to "hey guys this is pretty sweet shit, I'm having a pretty good time."

Considering the turn around based on loot 2.0, and how fun the expansion seemed to make things, I figured alright, time to bite the bullet and jump on board. I love hack 'n slash games, and I do not fucking regret it at all, holy shit diablo 3 is fucking amazing.

I've made a few characters, but so far I've been rotating between my wizard, demon hunter, and crusader. I can't pick just one, I keep getting rares and legendaries for one of the others, and .. well I just can't leave that loot sitting in the bank, now can I?!

So I've been playing that for a while. It's a nice break from Dark Souls 2 (which I'll address at some point in the future, I'm sure. I'm a bit fatigued by it so I'm giving myself a break from it.. ) and I enjoy the mindless slaughter of millions of enemies. There's so much fun packed in, and blizzard keeps announcing hotfixes and patches that only serve to spruce up the game even more and make things more FUN, instead of more boring and job-like.

GOOD JOB, BLIZZARD! YOU ROYALLY FUCKED UP, BUT YOU MANAGED TO TURN IT AROUND! LOOK, EA, THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT! NOW GIVE ME FUCKING DA3!
